How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Clarity Books Central, authenticate users, maintain tenant isolation, process bookkeeping workflows, perform reconciliation and document matching, provide Book Health and exception-management features, respond to support requests, manage onboarding, protect the service from abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

AI-assisted processing

Clarity Books Central is designed as an AI-first bookkeeping platform. Automated systems may analyze bookkeeping data and supporting documents to classify, reconcile, validate, and identify exceptions. Human review is reserved for items that require judgment or fall outside approved automation guardrails. We do not represent automated output as tax, legal, or investment advice.

Money movement and tax boundaries

Version 1 of Clarity Books Central does not move customer money. The service does not prepare tax returns or provide personalized tax advice.

How information is stored and protected

Customer data is separated by business workspace using database and storage access controls. Private customer files are stored in non-public storage and accessed through short-lived signed links. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Service providers

We may use third-party infrastructure and service providers to host the application, database, authentication, file storage, communications, billing, analytics, or AI functionality. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to deliver their services.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain business and audit records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by data type and service status.
